Slow Cooker Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Wings: Whole30, Paleo, GF

These slow cooker BBQ chicken wings are perfect for meal prep, or for a healthy appetizer or snack. They’ve got a Hawaiian spin to add some exciting flavor to the BBQ, only a few simple ingredients in a crockpot, and are Whole30, paleo and gluten-free.   1. First, pat the wings dry and season liberally with salt and pepper
  2. Add the wings to the slow cooker and pour in 3/4 cup of BBQ sauce. Stir to evenly coat
  3. Place 4 pineapple slices over the top of the wings and cover the slow cooker with the lid
  4. Cook on high for 2 hours, or on low for 4 hours
  5. Once done, discard the pineapple. To crisp: transfer the wings to a baking sheet, brush the remaining 1/4 cup BBQ over the wings and broil them for 2-5 minutes depending on your preference for how crispy they are

Notes

  • If using frozen wings, thaw them first before adding to the slow cooker
