Slow Cooker Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Wings: Whole30, Paleo, GF

These slow cooker BBQ chicken wings are perfect for meal prep, or for a healthy appetizer or snack. They’ve got a Hawaiian spin to add some exciting flavor to the BBQ, only a few simple ingredients in a crockpot, and are Whole30, paleo and gluten-free. This is a great hands-off method to cook an easy chicken recipe everyone will love.

  1. First, pat the wings dry and season liberally with salt and pepper
  2. Add the wings to the slow cooker and pour in 3/4 cup of BBQ sauce. Stir to evenly coat
  3. Place 4 pineapple slices over the top of the wings and cover the slow cooker with the lid
  4. Cook on high for 2 hours, or on low for 4 hours
  5. Once done, discard the pineapple. To crisp: transfer the wings to a baking sheet, brush the remaining 1/4 cup BBQ over the wings and broil them for 2-5 minutes depending on your preference for how crispy they are


  • If using frozen wings, thaw them first before adding to the slow cooker
