Ingredients

  • 2 (6-8 ounce) halibut fillets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1.5 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Optional to garnish: lemon wedges, chopped parsley, red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Pat the halibut fillets dry with a paper towel and then coat in the olive oil and lemon juice
  2. In a small bowl, combine the chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, onion powder, paprika, salt and pepper
  3. Season all sides of the fillets with the spice mixture so they’re fully coated with the seasoning
  4. Place the fillets into the air fryer and cook on 350 degrees F. for 5-6 minutes, or until the fish is golden brown and flakes easily with a fork. For a thicker fillet, you may need up to 8 minutes.
  5. Remove from the air fryer and serve with rice and/or vegetable sides, fish tacos, burrito bowls or salads
